Google’s latest Pixel phones are the newly released Pixel 10 series. But if you’re looking for something more affordable, the Pixel 9 series, still on sale from Google, has a similar design, and the same price.
To save money, you can turn to refurbished versions of the phones — but while Google has its own refurbished store, it doesn’t currently include the Pixel 9 series. Fortunately, other retailers do.

Buying a Pixel 9 direct from Google in new condition costs $799 for the model with 128GB storage. Amazon, however, has the same phone in what it calls Renewed Premium — its top tier of refurbished devices — for $569.97 in obsidian finish. That’s a savings of $229 compared to the new price, and is $40 less than the site typically sells a renewed premium version. If you’d prefer more storage, the 256GB version not currently available in Renewed Premium condition, only in Renewed.
However, the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL are available. The Pixel 9 Pro costs $999 when new with 128GB storage, but in Renewed Premium condition Amazon has it for $689.97, here in the obsidian color. Choose hazel and it costs $10 more, at $699.97, both saving more than $300 off the new price. These are the only two colors at this storage level. You can also buy the Pixel 9 Pro in new condition from Amazon.
Both obsidian and hazel are available in Renewed Premium with 256GB storage for $799.97, which is $299 less than the price of the phone new ($1,099). For 512GB storage, you can pay $899.97 for the obsidian finish in Renewed Premium, which would cost $1,219 in new condition. This is $319 less. The top storage, 1TB is also available in obsidian for $999.97, around $449 less than the price you’ll pay for it new at Google. All these phones are available here.
