There’s Only One ‘Star Wars Outlaws’ Gaming PC, And You Can’t Buy It

There’s Only One ‘Star Wars Outlaws’ Gaming PC, And You Can’t Buy It

Man, the special edition hardware train just keeps on chugging lately. Between limited print controllers and contest consoles sprouting locks of faux cat fur, gaming companies are truly getting creative with the eye-catching aesthetics as of late. But leave it to premium PC outfit Falcon Northwest to throw its quality hat in the ring for an upcoming and highly anticipated release, one that’s barely over the horizon.

Ubisoft’s open-world Star Wars Outlaws hits PlayStation, Xbox and the good old-fashioned personal computer later this month on August 30, and now we’ve got a one-of-a-kind themed rig to drool over—and possibly win. As in, you can’t buy this machine. You’ve got to enter for a chance to snag it, which makes this thing rather rare, and by default, desirable. Supply and demand, kids.

The system is built inside one of Falcon Northwest’s proprietary Talon cases, and judging by early images, the print work on the panels looks downright fantastic. Honestly, I’d expect no less of FN. This is a PC builder that takes immense pride in shipping top-of-the-line assemblages, and I very much noted and appreciated the attention to detail in my 2021 review of that year’s Talon. The performance was killer, too, something to be expected, as was the price.

What I’m trying to say is, Falcon Northwest doesn’t mess around. As such, I’d expect the graphics on the Star Wars Outlaws chassis to be just as stunning in person, and the components inside to be top-tier and painstakingly installed and organized. So speaking of, what lies within this beautiful beast? Here’s a rundown of the specs:

  • ASUS ROG Strix motherboard with the Intel Z790 chipset
  • 32GB of Kingston Fury Beast 6000 MHz DDR5
  • 2TB Kingston Fury Renegade M.2 NVMe storage
  • Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER Founders Edition GPU
  • 1 Kilowatt Seasonic Power Supply

This is all paired with an Intel i7-14700K processor, by the way. Not bad at all, although I’d have preferred a 4090 be included, if I’m being perfectly honest. I know, I’m so picky. Good lord.

You’ve got a solid motherboard here, plenty of high frequency RAM, a decent amount of storage and enough power to keep this sleek machine running endlessly as you George Lucas your way through Outlaws. Recent preview impressions seem positive so far, and I’m looking forward to playing the game on something that isn’t a super cool, limited edition Talon. It’s totally fine. I’m not salty. I swear.

If you were to purchase this directly from Falcon Northwest, it wouldn’t be cheap, not by a longshot. The good news is that you literally can’t buy it, not this specific Talon variant, anyway. Maybe you could go the bribery route, but that feels a tad uncouth, don’t you think?

There’s just over two weeks left to enter, so hop to it.
